Subliminal Crappiness
I've often wondered why so many people seem to have a natural dislike of "Soft Rock", or whatever you want to call it....
And this morning, while getting my teeth poked and prodded, I figured it out!
Every dentist's office is tuned to a channel like 97.3 EZ Rock (or your local equivalent), and so you quite literally develop a Pavlovian aversion to soft rock!
Maybe we'd all like soft rock better if the dentist still gave us lollipops?

my dentist is a big fan of classic rock... which is alright... did i mention he has satellite radio in his office? Yeah it's pretty alright, though sometimes he breaks out his collection of Yes and well that just isn't as cool...

Oh and I forgot to mention that soft rock sucks because it is boring and dull... there is nothing of interest musically going on in it.
That is qualified by the fact that there are some quality slow jams out there but most soft rock stations are just a big collection of inoffensive to old people slush.

we're forgetting that Celine Dion is also in the soft rock catagory. That pretty much pulls all soft rock down to the sucky level by default.

Soft rock is a very popular form of music, and Celine Dion is one of the greatest performers of our time, not to mention Canadian. You can all shut up and listen to your rap shit alone, do you see any rap artists with a show in Vegas? I don't think so!
