Sometimes I wonder how it is I haven't been on more violent killing sprees

Today's Scene: CIBC

Me: Hi, I'd like to change this [puts 690 pesos on counter] back into Canadian funds.
Ass-Munch Behind Counter: What are those?
Me: What? [as I slowly realize he's dead serious] They're pesos...
AMBC: Oh, we can't buy those because people don't buy them back. They'll just sit here.
Me: You have to be [thinking, but holding myself back, "fucking"] kidding me....
AMBC: You have to go to one of those Money Exchange Places.
Me: Wow. Thanks.
AMBC: [completely oblivious to his own ass-munchiness] Have a nice day!

Sometimes I'm glad we have stricter gun laws than in the US....but, today? It makes me feel empty.

That sounds about right, actually. Whenever I've been in Cuba, they always have a big song-and-dance about changing your money back into Canadian or American dollars at the resort or airport before you leave because banks (and even some of those currency exchange places) won't take them due to their worthless nature.

hey, if you find out before me that murder has been downgraded to a misdemeanor, then let me know ASAP. There's a few people in the "service" industry that I'd love to do something mean to.

I think that pretty much anytime you go south for a beach holiday, change all your money back, or only change as much as you need. Overall, you're better off leaving your leftover local money for the maid or something.

What's the exchange on 600-something pesos anyway?

690 pesos is about $75 CAN....

like, the maid was good, but fuck....

I needed 500 for a trip that we decided not to take on Friday night, so it's not that I just liked having a stupidly big bankroll of pesos. I felt that was worth noting...
