Corollas are small

My rental car is miniature. Now, people have told me that they think my car is enormous... but in retrospect, many were Toyota Corolla owners.
I'm not suggesting that Corolla can't work for some people, but you can't be my size. Just not going to work. The mirrors are at some weird angle just so that I can sorta see things, the steering wheel is in my lap (and yes, it's as high as it'll go), the seat all the way back doesn't allow me to come close to having my legs at a comfortable angle, and to top it all off, the headrest doesn't actually go high enough to be considered "safe".
On the plus side, I got the $15/day insurance which allows me to write the thing off for under a hundred bucks....
Yes, that's the only good thing about it. I promise.

Further complaints:
1. At 120 km/h, you either must have all windows open, or all windows closed. Otherwise, the doors sound (and feel) like they're going to come off.
2. The centre console part is WAY too low, thus I have nowhere to rest my right arm.

I was madly in love with my recently wrecked Echo sedan, Stella. She was beautiful and fit me perfectly. I could finally see over the steering wheel of a car. She had that great console perfect for my cd case, and a genius shelf under the passenger seat. I'd quickly shove as much garbage as would fit in that shelf when i had to drive someone around. Although I will give you the windows deal. This was especially tricky to find the balance between fresh air and bleeding ear drums from excess noise without power windows.
My parents are telling me I should be sensible and consider a Corolla, since soon I'll be a professional and might want to start a family down the road. I say fuck that, Corolla's are just too big. Plus if they think i'm going to start pushing out babies in the near future, they're going to be pretty disappointed.
Moral of the story: Corollas are too big for a 5'2 girl who refuses to grow up.

Okay, I'll admit there is something fun about driving a small car.... b/c of the insurance Enterprise gave me, I can write it off, and just walk away, thus, I have become a hyper-agressive driver. Keeping in mind that I learned to drive in Toronto, so it's not like I was timid before. Now I whip in and out around trucks on the highway... something my Sebring just couldn't do.
In other news, last night I was trying to hit traffic cones b/c I was bored....

How can you complain about a Corolla not being workable for people of your size?, I've driven one for 3 years and I fit in it quite well. You can scratch your heed now.....
And no, I don't need someone in the backseat with a crowbar to help ne get outta it:-)

Okay, fine.... DC is actually taller than me (though slightly less wide) and drives an equivalent sized car.
I guess I just got used to my space.
Sue me.
