This Just In: Kelly Hu = Hot and Funny!

I managed to catch her on Craig Ferguson last night... and I'll be honest, I had never heard of her before. I actually just stayed up to watch Craig's monologue, and at the end they flashed pictures of the guests. I saw her headshot, and bam.... turns out I was staying to watch the rest of the show!
Something refreshing? She seems like the type of person who has no idea just how gorgeous she is. You could almost see Craig Ferguson become more interested when she mentioned that she had a little crush on him when they had worked together a few years back, and would have been crushed if he didn't remember her... his response, "Why didn't you SAY anything?!?"
Then after getting into the finer details of Hawaiian cooking (turns out they like Spam as much,. if not more, than in the UK! they even make Spam-based sushi), she brings up her one and only kiss with a girl. Turns out it was several years ago with Rebecca de Mornay. And aside from the fact that I will be tracking this down fairly soon at my local video store, it led to this hilarious exchange:
KH: You know something? Girls are so much softer than guys.
CF: Oh, I know! Well, I don't know, but I could imagine....
KH: And I was so much more self-conscious about kissing her. I had never worried about whether I was a good kisser before... but now I was. And I think it was because it was another woman.
CF: I'm sure that has to do with most guys just being happy they're kissing Kelly Hu...?
KH (laughing almost uncontrollably): Maybe....
Just found that to be an interesting observation, is all.
In other news, it's funny to see how the people that book guests on competing late night talk show tend to "react" to the bookings from their competitors. A big star on Leno usually mean Letterman gets a big star, too. An enormous star on Letterman usually means a stiff on Leno, and vice versa. Last night? Craig Ferguson had Paul Teutul, Sr. and Paul Teutul, Jr. (of American Chopper fame). Conan had Orlando Bloom. Not exactly competing fan base demographics.....
