Woo? I guess...

With the recent signing of Victor Zambrano, as well as earlier signings this winter of Tomo Ohka and John Thompson, the Blue Jays are finally getting some experienced arms to potentially round out their starting rotation.
That's not to say that Shawn Marcum, et al. aren't any good, it's just that they're young and extremely inexperienced, and if they honestly think they can compete with the Yanks and BoSox, they'll need some guys who aren't still shitting green to back up Doc, A.J. and the still relatively unproven, but seemingly cool under fire, Gustavo Chacin.
Really, depth is the most important thing here. I don't want to see an ashen Dustin McGowan or Casey Janssen having to make a pressure-packed start in New York in August because they have nobody better, and with these signings (and barring a cataclysmic spate of injuries), that shouldn't have to happen.
Of course, if the vets all blow out their elbows and one of the youngsters has a phenomenal year, then I guess I'm a moron. But you already knew that. :)
