A Pleasure to Play

As I tend to do, I'm going to preface this post with "I know I'm boring the piss out of almost all of you when I bring this up", but I'm still going to because, well, this is my blog, so screw you all.

I mean... please keep reading, but just skip this post if you don't give a shit. :)

Anyway, I just have to get this out... I absolutely LOVE playing my pipes right now. A brand new chanter reed (not the best part because our PM is renound for hard reeds, but it means the chanter has a great crack coming off of it), and a brand new set of drone reeds that I was able to set just right for my new chanter reed, not to mention the generally wonderful sound coming off the drones.... I just have a perfectly set-up and wonderful sounding instrument that is just an absolute pleasure to play.

Now I just need to get in better playing shape so I can enjoy it for more than half an hour without feeling like I'm going to die....
